Quỳnh Nguyễn · reviewed on
You can request Vietnamese-speaking accompaniment in Shanghai with Quỳnh Nguyễn through True China Experience, on mychinajourney.com. I work with 1-8 travellers in China and speak Vietnamese, English and Mandarin, not French. I am based in Chaoyang, Beijing, and have no Shanghai office. A Shanghai visit therefore depends on availability and a quote covering travel from Beijing.
I can discuss personal accompaniment, trip organisation, airport welcome, an optional driver, SIM assistance and interpreting. Request a Shanghai quote with your dates before making plans that depend on my presence. My profile explains who you will be contacting.
Start with the shape of your trip
For a Shanghai-only stay, identify the day or days when you need someone alongside you. For a Beijing-Shanghai journey, send the whole route, including days you intend to spend independently. This gives the proposal the context needed to address travel between the cities.
A single-day enquiry is welcome, but do not assume it carries the same costs as hiring someone already in Shanghai. Ask how my travel and any necessary overnight stay affect the total. Dates are not reserved by submitting the form.
If your need is mainly help choosing a route before departure, say so. Planning and daily accompaniment are different services, and the quote should reflect that distinction.
Guide, driver, planning or agency package?
- Personal accompaniment: being with your group during agreed visits, helping with communication and practical coordination.
- Car and driver: transport on an agreed route. This does not automatically include an accompanying guide or a Vietnamese-speaking driver.
- Trip planning: arranging the structure of the stay and discussing logistics before travel; presence on the day must be specified separately.
- Agency package: a bundled offer may combine hotels, transport and activities. Compare those inclusions with the individual services requested here.
The services page gives an overview. If you also need interpreting for a meeting, describe its subject, location and duration so it can be considered separately from sightseeing.
One possible day, subject to agreement
This example is a proposal, not a reserved tour. We could meet at your hotel, walk around the Bund, stop for lunch and choose one afternoon activity. A museum visit could replace the afternoon walk if it fits the group's interests and the institution's arrangements. Families wanting a quieter day could finish after lunch.
For the Shanghai Museum, name the building you want to visit: People's Square and the East Museum have different visiting arrangements, set out in the museum's official notice. Check the chosen site before settling the route. No attraction ticket or priority entry is promised by this example.
Avoid treating an arrival transfer and a full sightseeing day as the same request. Send your flight details first, then decide what is realistic. For broader ideas about neighbourhoods, food and sights, see the Shanghai travel guide.
Airport arrival and family needs
Specify Pudong or Hongqiao, the terminal, flight number and hotel address. Shanghai's official airport transport guide covers the two airports and their transport options. Use the precise arrival point in your request, especially if the next leg is a train journey.
Include luggage, pushchairs, child-seat requests and mobility needs when discussing a vehicle. Confirm availability before relying on particular equipment. For personal welcome, agree on the meeting point, a working contact method and what happens if the flight is delayed.
For a family day, tell me how much walking is comfortable, when children need breaks and which language each person uses. SIM assistance can be requested too; the service and the SIM's cost need to be clarified.
Compare a complete quote
Prices are provided only by quote, according to dates, group and programme. Ask what is included, excluded or optional:
- Accompaniment times, language and meeting points.
- My travel from Beijing and any accommodation or related expenses.
- Airport welcome, driver, local transport, waiting, parking and tolls.
- Attraction tickets, meals, SIM costs and interpreting if requested.
- Payment, cancellation, changes and additional time.
Use the China budget guide for wider trip planning, not as a service tariff. You can consult the traveller feedback page before sending a request.
To receive a relevant proposal, send your dates and programme, group size, existing bookings and budget scope. Confirm availability, the full travel costs and the agreed services before accepting.
