Quỳnh Nguyễn · reviewed on
Looking for a Vietnamese-Mandarin interpreter for a trade fair in China? Start with the event, product sector and meeting objectives. A useful quote depends on the conversations you need to have, your timetable and access to the venue.
At True China Experience, Quỳnh Nguyễn is based in Chaoyang, Beijing, and speaks Vietnamese, English and Mandarin. Existing services include language assistance for meetings and purchases, alongside travel arrangements for groups of 1-8 people. A trade-fair assignment is considered against its brief and her availability. This does not establish previous experience at a particular exhibition.
Choose the right scope
A sightseeing day and a supplier meeting require different preparation. Describe the work you need before choosing someone to accompany you:
- Tourism support: visits, meals and everyday travel arrangements.
- Liaison interpreting: exchanging questions and answers about products, samples, quantities and proposed delivery dates, with speakers taking turns.
- Specialist work: simultaneous, technical or legal interpreting, and factory audits require separately established expertise. These are not confirmed services here.
Accompanying a sourcing visit does not certify a supplier or establish product quality. Send technical documents early enough to assess suitability. If you need an engineer, auditor or legal specialist, make that requirement explicit from the outset.
Prepare a brief that can be assessed
Aim for a short document that connects the practical arrangements with the buying questions:
- Products: sector, photographs, catalogue, model references, materials and intended use.
- Terminology: your Vietnamese, Mandarin or English vocabulary, abbreviations and measurement units.
- Objective: initial research, samples, quotation comparison or clarification of an existing proposal.
- Booths: company names, hall and stand numbers, contacts and priorities.
- Appointments: dates, start and finish times, addresses, breaks and travel between meetings.
- Participants: group size, working languages and the person authorized to make purchasing decisions.
Share only the documents needed for preparation. Mark sensitive information and agree how it may be used. A complex specification should be reviewed before accepting the assignment, rather than being introduced at the exhibition entrance.
Beijing base, travel to other cities
Beijing is Quỳnh's home base. For a meeting there, send the exact address, host and appointment time. For an exhibition, add the organizer's event link and entrance instructions. A city name alone is not enough to build a workable schedule.
Shanghai and Guangzhou require a separately arranged trip. Confirm availability, travel days, transport and accommodation before booking. Ask which expenses are included and how travel time is treated. Do not assume that an interpreting quote already covers flights, trains or hotel nights.
In Shanghai, distinguish the NECC near the Hongqiao transport hub from the SNIEC at 2345 Longyang Road in Pudong. Their official location information is published by CIIE and SNIEC. Give the same venue, hall and meeting entrance to the interpreter and driver. The Shanghai guide can help with the rest of your stay.
Check the event and admission separately
CIIE confirms its ninth edition for 5-10 November 2026 at the NECC in Shanghai, with professional visitor registration and an online matchmaking platform. Review participating businesses against your actual products and meeting objectives before committing your time.
For Guangzhou, use the separate Canton Fair buyer guide to choose a phase and prepare registration. Ask the organizer which credentials each accompanying person needs. Do not assume your buyer badge covers another participant. Agree on work inside the halls only once the relevant access conditions have been confirmed; True China Experience does not promise accreditation.
Turn a booth conversation into usable information
Before each meeting, select the questions that matter most: minimum quantities by model and colour, what the quoted price includes, sample preparation, customization and the product documents you need. Use the same question sheet across shortlisted companies so the answers can be compared.
During the conversation, speak in short sections and allow time for interpretation. Ask for important numbers to be repeated. Keep a distinction between what a representative says, what appears in a written quotation and what still needs confirmation. Request written specifications and quotations for your team to assess.
Afterwards, record the contact responsible for each unresolved question and the agreed response date. Decide in advance whether a written meeting summary or later messages are part of the assignment. Interpreting should not silently expand into purchasing authority, quality inspection, contract review or ongoing order management.
Request a quote for the whole assignment
Quỳnh can discuss accommodation arrangements, a driver, airport pickup, SIM support and meeting language assistance within the published services. She does not speak French. For a multilingual group, agree on a shared working language before scheduling appointments.
Read about Quỳnh, then send your brief through the quote form. Ask for preparation time, working hours, breaks, overtime arrangements, travel, hotel expenses and follow-up to be clearly defined. Pricing is per assignment or trip, with availability and scope confirmed before the booking.
